Geometry Challenge

Using devices for learning helps with engagement and also helps the children successfully create some fantastic pieces of work. Have a look at these two examples that two students created. The children had a number of shapes that they had to use to create a 'Robo- Animal' of their choice.

  7. Kia ora my names Bella and I'm from Paroa school. I really liked how creative you guys were with this and I would love to have a pet like that. One way you could be BTB (better than before) is probably by saying what pet you've got.

  8. Hi I’m Lucy from paroa school
That looks really cool! I like how you used the shapes to create them. How did you make them? What shapes did you use? What did you find challenging? Maybe you could add a black line around the outside.

  10. Hi, my name is Miro. I go to paroa school. I like how you made the robots based on real animals. I think you could be BTB, (better than before,) by adding different shapes to the robots. What was the top one based on?

  11. Hi room 14, My name is Grace this looks very very fun i love using Chromebooks and doing this sort of stuff. I love how it would of been a challenge because of the number of shapes you were allowed to use. Did you have to use a sertin colour or not? Maybe next time you could make it exactly the same on both of the sides it would look really cool.

  13. Hello my name is Georgia from Paroa School
I think your geometry art is really cool because it lets your imagination run wild.
I like how you added some stars in the background to show its in space.
I think you could try and make a bigger outline on the zebra so it's easier to see.

  14. Hi It's Max and Cooper from Paroa school.

We really like the colours and shapes you chose to use. I(Max) did this last year with real shapes. What is the animal at the top? Next time you could use a different background because the Zebra blends in or is it meant to blend in .

  16. Hi room 14 I am Grace Williams and I go to Paroa School.
I really like the way that you have made the pictures big and clear and that you have a lot of explanation on what you were doing. To be BTB (better than before) you could have made the background not so distracting on the robot. Is the Zebra supposed to camoflauge?

  19. Hola Amigo's, I'm Carter; I think you guys have done a great job on your robotic animals. Something I think you could improve to make the Zebra's body parts semetrical and to match. You could also make the zebra a little lighterto make it stand out with the background. I made a similar design with a t-shirt on my blog.Kind Regards; Carter.
