Speech Writing Time
Room 14 have begun working on their speeches and have created digital learning objects on the things they need to think about when presenting a speech. They also came up with ideas that they could discuss in relation to their personal speech topic. Here are a few examples of what some of the children have come up with:

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - Begin with a greeting. Talk about something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A comment that will mean something to me to let me know you read/watched or listened to what I had to say. - use any language.
3. Something helpful - Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
Encourage me to make another post

ReplyDeleteI like your posts because these are great ideas when your doing a speech bye.
Kia ora this is Emora from Edmund Hillary School. I found substancial things in your work and think you have done a great job! My question is, who gave you the idea to actually type what you have to do and what you don't do?
ReplyDeleteHi Room 14,
ReplyDeleteYou have made some wonderful DLO's about speeches. We did speeches last term and they were great with lots of different topics. Have you watched Joseph Iosefa's inspiring speech? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-kd6FaxKx4
It gave us lots of tips about body language. We will look forward to reading about how your speeches progress.

Hi Room 14, I really like the memo you're trying to send and think it's good but it's not that clear, Maybe next time for some positive feedback you could add some stronger wording. ReplyDeleteKia Ora My name is Maya and I go to Paroa school, I really like these topics and the Audience takes a lot of information after each speech. Something that you could fix up with these speeches that I noticed they are quit short and I think you should make them a little longer. I have a question for you ? are you scared of doing speeches ? OK bye for now
